Certified European Flax® fibre is produced exclusively in France, Belgium, or the Netherlands.
The EUROPEAN FLAX® Charter, signed by all the Flax producers, guarantees local farming that respects the environment and commits to zero irrigation, ero GMO, and zero waste.
Fibre extraction (scutching) is 100% mechanical meaning zero chemicals are used in the process.
We have chosen mechanical softening (mill wash) for our linen, which is the most sustainable way to soften linen, since there is no use of chemicals, enzymes or huge amount of water consumption in the softening process.
Mill washed linen is similar to stone washing, with a soft, textured touch and a gentle washed appearance.
